I’m behind, but I don’t care. I put in my notice at WDS and they decided to fire me on the spot for it, guess who will most likely get unemployment now? So I now have all the time in the world to write.

I had to pull out “the scarf” it’s so cold.

I was driving home listening to the new Dresden Dolls CD (Reid bought it for me, wasn’t that nice of him!?) and I had a sudden realization as to what I should write for NaNo. It’s not a recycled idea. It’s new, it’s exciting and I’m thrilled that I know exactly what I want to write about. There will be more coming on this soon, but for now just be excited with me.

As a NaNo sidenote… Phil purchased me a new laptop! I’m so freaking excited. I’ve needed a new one for awhile. It’s his bribe. He wants me to finish a novel instead of “just hitting 50,000 words”. It’s a good thing that he and I are on the same page about that. It’s a Dell Inspiron (again), but the huge difference is the fact that it’s a 13.3 inch instead of a 15.5 because I wanted lightweight and portable. The basic specs are: Intel Core 2 Duo T5750, 2.0GHz, 667Mhz 2M L2 Cache, 4GB, DDR2, 667MHz 2 Dimm,  Glossy, widescreen 13.3 inch LCD (1280×800) w/ 2.0M pixel Camera, Vista and Works (I didn’t want to pay for Word, Open Office works just fine), 320G 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive, 8X Slot Load CD / DVD Burner (Dual Layer DVD+/-R Drive)  and 85 WHr 9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery (YAY! for more battery life). I’m so excited and it’s due to ship 10/17.

I had gall bladder surgery last week. I’m getting better. I go back to work tomorrow. Of course It’s 3:00am and I can’t sleep because of the pain meds/pain. I guess I go in later tomorrow.
